Palm Springs Commitment Ceremony

Eugenio and Randy celebrated their "thing" as they called it, in late April of this year. The ceremony took place in their Palm Springs home, so they wanted their invitations to be clean and simple, but to incorporate a retro palm springs feel.

I haven't had a chance to photograph their invitations, but here's a screen shot of the digital files. To create the Palm Springs skyline, I simply took existing palm tree artwork and added the mountains on the back. I created a logotype for their names, which as used to tie-in the RSVP cards as well as the thank you cards. The black linen stock, metallic silver envelopes and silver trim layer behind the invitations, created a beautiful contrast, which added the modern feel they were looking for.

Congrats to Eugenio and Randy! May you live happily ever after.

New Look for Ron Brewer Photography

I met Debi and her late husband Ron Brewer a couple of years ago at one of the Greater Palm Springs Association mixers. They were a husband and wife photography team, very loved in the community and by their clients.

After Ron's passing last year, Debi continues to keep the name and the business alive with her talent and passion for her trade. She called me few weeks back, with a few ideas for a new logo and a beautiful new brown and aqua color scheme, which will better reflect her classic photography style.

I am so thrilled to have been given this opportunity! Now she's going to run with it, and create a new website, business cards, and packaging! I can't wait to see it all the pieces come together!

Ron Brewer Photography is based in La Quinta, California. Serving all the desert cities. Family portraits, childrena and wedding photography.

Something Old, Something New... Something sparkling blue!

Now how does that old saying go?
Ah, yes...

Something old,
Something new,
Something borrowed,
Something blue
and a sixpence in her shoe!

First of all, you may be wondering what in the world is a sixpence? A sixpence is a coin that was minted in Britain from 1551 to 1967. In this poem, the coin represents wealth for the bride and groom.

Something old represents continuity in the brides family and past. Something new represents her new life ahead. Something borrowed, is usually a token from a happily married friend or relative.

As far as the color blue, centuries ago, it used to represent faithfulness, loyalty and purity. Many brides incorporate blue by using a garter, or using blue nail polish on their toes.

A much more beautiful option, would be these fresh water pearls and sparkling blue topaz drop earrings by James Allen.

Tuscan Themed Wedding Favor Ideas

Have you ever been to an older relative's house and seen their collection of wedding favors collecting dust? I know they hold on to them for sentimental value, but times have changed. No more plastic doves with tulle. When it comes to wedding favors, today's brides look for style and functionality!

I was browsing the web in search of inspiration for Tuscan themed wedding invitations. I like to look at possible decor, wedding favors, what other's have done for their own weddings, to perhaps incorporate some of their ideas with my own and come up with something totally new. During my search I found these CUTE "Olive You" wedding favors!
I just had to share my latest "neat find"!

Anuschka kicks off my "Neat Finds" section

You know how Martha Stewart has "Good Things"?

Well, I've decided to share the things I find every now and then, which I consider to be "really neat," so I've created a page on my website and called it "Neat Finds".

Now, let's take a look at this beautiful handpainted leather bag by Anuschka, a feast for the eyes, and what better way to launch the "Neat Finds" page!

I love art, I love color, I love handbags, and I know there many people out there who feel the same way. There are many other beautiful styles and designs available, and guess what? There's an on-line store where you can purchase them and pay no sales tax and no shipping!

Click here to find out where!

If you came here looking for inspiration on wedding invitations, look no more! Inspiration comes from many different directions. For example, are you into vibrant colors? If so, imagine an invitation with the vibrant colors found on this bag, combined with beautiful pearlized paper with a leather finish - I can see it now! Invitations that will completely "wow" your guests!

Place Card Holders for a Vineyard Wedding

My daughter's birthday is coming up in July, and in looking for some fun, summer, beach themed party favors, I came across these beautiful place card holders - perfect for a vineyard wedding!

My husband is BIG on wine, so of course I have to keep them in mind. Maybe we'll have a wine tasting party one of these days. =)

The cat's out of the bag!

Planning a quick little business event with a friend. The setting's fun and casual, and of course the invites have to set the tone. Here's what my guests will receive in the mail this week. Details regarding the event to be posted soon.

Natalie, are you there???

Voice messages sometimes get broken up, accidentally erased, callers sometimes forget to include their name and number, or we simply jot down the wrong call back number. When this happens, there really isn't much we can do, but hope that you try us again.

I've had a couple of experiences like this recently, and it concerns me that callers may think I'm not serious about my business, or that I lack the curtesy to return a call. This is why I absolutely LOVE e-mail! Each time we receive an e-mail inquiry, all we have to do is hit reply. It's as easy as that.

So my dear friends...if by any chance you ever call me (or any vendor) and you don't hear back from us, please call again! We'd love to talk to you!

PS - Natalie, if you're reading this, please know that I've called you back, but I'm being told I have the wrong number. Call me!
